Q: How do
I choose a projector?
A: There are only three things
to consider; 1. size, 2. brightness
and 3. resolution.
- All our projectors are super light-weight and
are easy to carry in their soft sided shoulder
cases.
- Brightness is measured in lumens and all our
line of projectors are in the "leave the
lights on" level of brightness. Simple rules
of thumb are; if your presentation contains a
lot of text, or will be shown on a large screen
(8ft.+) choose a projector with a higher lumens
rating.
- Resolution refers to the number of dots (pixels)
used to create the projector's image. For laptop
computers the current standard resolution is XGA
(1024 x 768 pixels). All of our projectors are XGA as well as HD compatible and adjust automatically to match the resolution of whatever is connected.

Q: Is a one
day rental equal to 24 hours?
A: Yes, but whenever
possible we will get you your projector early.
Example: You reserve a one day XGA projector for
meetings starting Tuesday morning. You can pick
it up Monday before 5:00 p.m. and not return the
unit till Wednesday noon. These buffer days are
great for taking the worry out of presentation day.
You have time to familiarize yourself with the equipment
beforehand, and time to savour a job well done afterward.

fee we can deliver your order within the Greater
Montreal area.

that is requested for rehearsal
purposes the night before may
carry an additional fee. Call

Q: Can I rent
my A/V equipment for a half day?
A: Half day rentals are not
agreed to in a contractual form.
However it is sometimes possible
to offer reduced rates.

Q: What
if I damage or lose the equipment?
A: If you damage or lose the
equipment, you will be held responsible
for its repair or replacement.
We reserve the right to question
incidents that may arise due
to neglectful use of equipment.

Q: What
if I don’t know how to
run the equipment?
A: If you are
not familiar with the equipment,
the AV-Solutions
technical staff will be very
pleased to familiarize you with
it. In most cases this can be
done in five to ten minutes.
Please request this service in
advance.

Q: What
do I do with the equipment after
I’m finished with it?
A: Suitable arrangements
for the return of rental equipment will be established
and agreed upon at the outset of the rental period
by the you and AV-Solutions.

Q: I
just found out that I will need
some equipment; can you accommodate
me on short notice?
A:

be satisfied based on availability
of equipment and staff.

Q: How
long in advance should I reserve
A/V equipment?
A:
Reservations should be made at
least two working days in advance
of the occasion to ensure availability
of equipment.

Q: What do
I need for a PowerPoint presentation?
A: To display a PowerPoint
presentation, you will need a laptop, a data projector
and a screen. If you already own a laptop, all you
will need is the data projector and screen. Tip:
To view your PowerPoint Presentation as a slide
show, press F5 on your laptop.

Q: Do
I need to let you know if my
event has been cancelled?

know as soon as possible if you
will be canceling your order.
